What is Pass The Parcel?
Pass The Parcel is a traditional British Party Game. You start with a parcel, which is a party prize wrapped in lots of layers of wrapping paper. Sit the children in a group, and ask them to pass the parcel around to music. When the music stops, the child holding the parcel removes a layer of wrapping. Repeat the process. When the final layer is removed, the prize is revealed to the winner.
Happy Little Monkeys have added a modern twist to this game. Our parcels are 15 layers. Each layer contains a great quality party bag filler, to ensure that nobody goes home empty-handed. The prize in the middle is of greater value. Our parcels are Best Sellers!

Musical Statues:
The children dance to music. Turn off the music, and the children pretend to be statues. If they move, they are eliminated from the game. Repeat the process. The last child in the game is the winner. Remember to purchase a party prize!
Musical Chairs:
Make 2 rows of chairs. You need enough chairs for every child except one. Play some music. The children move around the chairs. Stop the music, and each child needs to sit down. The child left standing is eliminated. Remove a chair, and repeat the process. Keep going until there is one chair left. The child who claims the last chair is the winner! Remember to purchase a party prize!

What about some other party games?
Charades has always been popular, because no matter how many times you play it, it's still great fun. You could match it to your theme, ie animals, dinosaurs, or films. Write down the names of items/characters associated with your theme and put them into a bowl. Form some teams, and allocate one adult to each team. Each player picks a piece of paper from the bowl and has to act as that animal/character. The opposing team try and guess what it is, and the most successful team wins.
Another game for you to play could be pairs. Divide all the guests into pairs. Put a picture of a creature on the back of one player in each pair, and they have to guess what it is by questionning their partner. Give a small prize for a correct guess.
